Prior to commencing hydrotherapy you will consult our physiotherapists to assess the condition(s) to be treated as well as your suitability to undertake hydrotherapy. The hydrotherapy assessment form can be found in our Forms & Resources section of the site.
The hydrotherapy assessment form is used to evaluate a person’s fitness and suitability to undertake hydrotherapy. Having one or more conditions on the form does not necessarily stop a person from undertaking hydrotherapy but the physiotherapist will want to know about all conditions.
This in-rooms assessment is charged at $104.00* and may be claimable through your private Health fund using code 500 or claimable under a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
Individual sessions are held at Aqualink Box Hill and involve a one-on-one hydrotherapy session with a physiotherapist and are required for those new to hydrotherapy. During individual sessions we tailor your hydrotherapy exercise program to meet your needs and they run for 20-30 minutes.
This one on one session in the pool is charged at $86* and may be claimable via your health fund using code 505 or under a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
After completing your individual sessions and being well experienced in your hydrotherapy exercise program, the group sessions provide a fun, social, interactive environment within which to continue your exercise program. Group sessions are supervised by a physiotherapist, run for 40 minutes and are held at Aqualink Box Hill.
The group sessions are charged at $32.50* (which includes pool entry). These may be redeemable via your health fund using code 560. Group sessions are not claimable under a Medicare Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan.
