What are the benefits of Clinical Exercise both pre-natal and post-natal?

Specific Clinical Pilates exercises are used to:

  • Provide relief from pelvic pain, lower back pain, and upper-middle back pain
  • Strengthen pelvic floor muscles
  • Strengthen the “core” – your lower abdominal muscles, back muscles, pelvic floor muscles, and gluteal muscles
  • Treat abdominal separation
  • Strengthen abdominal muscles post caesarean section
  • Strengthen arm muscles and leg muscles to prepare the body for the daily tasks of caring for a baby
  • Rehabilitate poor posture that may develop as a result of the growing pregnant stomach and growing breast tissue, and from feeding and nursing
  • Optimise sitting and standing postures
  • Train the body to move safely during the performance of daily tasks

A program may incorporate a number of exercises which will make use of the fully equipped Pilates studio which is home to:

  • Pilates machines
  • Exercise balls
  • Foam rollers
  • Dumbbells
  • Resistance bands
