Elizabeth graduated from La Trobe University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Since then her passion for physiotherapy led her to complete her Graduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2017 and Masters of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy in 2018, also through La Trobe University. Elizabeth has experience in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports conditions. Elizabeth’s key interests in physiotherapy practice are as follows:
Pre- and Post-Surgical Patients
Elizabeth has experience treating patients following a wide variety of surgical procedures as well as designing rehabilitation programs to delay or sometimes even prevent the need for surgery. Elizabeth’s physiotherapy approach is structured, safe and evidence-based. This allows her patients rehabilitation to progress optimally and efficiently.
Elizabeth combines her passion for physiotherapy with her passion for dance. Elizabeth has danced for over 15 years. She has a wealth of experience treating dancers from many styles including Ballroom, Latin, Salsa, Swing, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Bollywood and Broadway. Elizabeth loves working with dancers to help them get back to this wonderful sport/art form after injury, to restore their freedom and joy of movement and to enable them to dance at their best for upcoming performances, competitions and exams.
Elizabeth’s physiotherapy practice is further enhanced by the following skills:
- Clinical Pilates training through Dance Medicine Australia (D.M.A.)
- Experienced hydrotherapy practitioner
- Accredited in dry needling
Along with dancing, Elizabeth’s interests outside of work include outdoor activities such as camping.
