Myth: Only women have a pelvic floor.

Fact: Both men and women have a pelvic floor!

Both genders are susceptible to bladder and bowel problems or muscle pain if their pelvic floor is not functioning properly!

Simple advice everyone can follow is;

  • do not strain when going to the toilet
  • do your pelvic floor muscle exercises daily (head here for some helpful hints!)
  • do not put off going to the toilet if you need to go!
